On our second expedition on the Aspalaga Tract, just north of Torreya State Park we documented what the locals call Means Creek. This is named after Dr. Bruce Means, a local expert and biologist along this tract of land. Dr. Means has studied this area for many years. This area feels and looks like the Carolinas or Virginia, and it is a very unsual place in Florida. It's one of those places that you have to see it to believe it exists.
Traveling with us on this expedition was: left to right: Elam Stoltzfus, Clyde Butcher, Bill & Pam Anderson, Mark Ludlow, and Bill Booth. Photos by Niki Butcher

Clyde and me in the trough of Means Creek. As you can tell, we have a smile, but wet and dirty was on the menu.
Checking out the place. Clyde trying out his "Clyde-o-Wide" camera.
Around every corner, there was an opportunity for a photograph and filming.
